DRESS – Paste wax for traditional treatment

Paste wax, specifically formulated for terracotta and clay tiles, gives body and softness to the material while enhancing its color tone.
It can be used on its own or applied after base protective treatments such as ICR17 or Fornace Bernasconi’s Aggrappant Levellant. It enhances the original beauty and color of terracotta, protects the surface, eliminates surface dust, and gives the material a rich, velvety texture.

Available in the following versions: NEUTRAL, MORO, and RUSTICA, depending on the desired effect.

MORO effect: gives a “vintage leather” appearance

NEUTRAL effect: creates a light amber tone

RUSTICA effect: ideal for handmade terracotta and encaustic plaster finishes

Application instructions:
Stir the product until it becomes fluid and apply with a brush on a clean, dry surface. Before it dries completely, even out the application using a cloth or a single-disc machine with tampico fiber brushes (vegetable fiber). Usually, two coats are applied 12 hours apart. After 1–2 days, polish dry and apply base and wax.
Do not use in damp environments or on surfaces subject to rising damp.
