The side flaps facilitate the water&#8217;s channeling and prevent it from escaping from the roof. Naturally, the structure is completed with a specially-sized &#8220;coppo&#8221; (half-tile), which overlaps two parallel rows of Roman terracotta tiles and is slightly interlaced with them.
